Perfect Gray Paint for Your Home
Many home owners are finding NOW to be the right time for an interior refresh! We've been asked a lot lately "which gray paint color should I go with?"
It's a good choice because if you're thinking of moving in the next few years, gray is incredibly popular with buyers and while the trend won’t last forever, it’s here to stay for now.
Disclaimer: The direction your home faces greatly matters! Our home faces southeast and we have a lot of back windows that bring in light from the northeast. It was amazing to see the difference in each room.
Based on our own experience with a recent home renovation, here are some paint colors to consider...
.
✔️Sherwin Williams Repose Gray 7015: We chose this for our Master Bedroom and found it to be a very dramatic, moody gray with deep blue undertones. It pairs well with black/white accents, navy blue and light gray.
.
✔️Sherwin Williams Dovetail 7018: Probably our favorite and our pick for our dining room… a very rich, warm gray that pairs perfectly with brass, blue/orange accents, and any color hardwood floors.
.
✔️Sherwin Williams Crushed Iced 7647: In our family room, this looked sky blue. In our Master Bath that receives much less light, it was a perfect true light gray.
.
✔️Benjamin Moore Edgecomb Gray HC-173: Choosing a gray for our first floor seemed impossible. Everything came out looking like lavender or light blue (thank you northern light). So we went with a light greige (gray+beige) and are so glad we did. Sometimes it’s light gray, sometimes it’s beige. It’s nice and warm for the space we frequent the most. Think Revere Pewter's cousin with much less dark brown undertones.
