Best Hot Cocoa in KC

This ain’t your mama’s Swiss Miss! Kansas City offers some ah-mazing drinking chocolate (aka the finest hot cocoa) perfect for this time of year. Check out the following 5 spots who take the quintessential winter beverage to the next level:

📍Christopher Elbow in The Crossroads: Perhaps the most popular in town, Christopher Elbow has perfected hot chocolate to the point where he renamed it 'drinking chocolate.' They come in three flavors (peppermint, cocoa noir, and spiced cocoa noir). Our favorite is to get it to-go on a cold winter night topped with delightful whipped cream and a side of chocolate.

📍Andre’s Confiserie Suisse in Overland Park: This family-owned cafe is so very loved in Kansas City. Both their Overland Park and Plaza locations showcase the coziest atmosphere for indulging in a cup of hot chocolate. The finished product is insta-worthy and delicious to boot!

📍Sweet Kiss Brigadeiro on The Plaza: Perhaps lesser known by KC residents, this sweet little shoppe on The Plaza mostly features their delectable Brazilian 'truffles.' But if you're in the mood for a special drink, ask the barista to add dark chocolate, caramel or hazelnut to the cocoa. Your taste buds will thank you!

📍Cafe Corazon in The Crossroads: We love hanging out in this lively cafe all year round but man, their Mexican and Dulce de Leche hot chcolate keeps us coming back over and over again. Check out their Crossroads or Westport location this winter!

📍Bizz and Weezy Confections in The Crossroads: This little chocolatier came to be in 2008 as friends and family fell in love with their truffles and candy. Lucky for us, they also serve hot drinks and their hot chocolate is really, really good. Pay them a visit in one of the coolest neighborhoods in downtown KC!
